The ideal candidate will be an experienced HR professional with passion for recruitment, problem solving, and people. They will provide excellent human resource support to our field managers and employees. Responsible for the successful implementation of HR initiatives aimed at achieving enhanced employee engagement and an improved employee experience that aligns consistently with our company values. This role will manage regional HR activities including employee relations, onboarding and HR compliance. Bilingual English and Spanish is a must for this position.

Responsibilities

  • Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains new staff in the department.
  • Oversees the daily workflow of the department.
  • Stays up to date with recruitment trends and employee retention initiatives.
  • Manages the talent acquisition process, which may include recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of qualified job applicants, particularly for managerial, exempt, and professional roles; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
  • Creates learning and development programs and initiatives that provide internal development opportunities for employees.
  • Oversees employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Spanish (Conversational)

  • Working understanding of human resource principles, practices, and procedures.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field and/or equivalent experience.
  • At least two years related experience required.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
